A trip to Moloka`i
the location where Grandma Mili's ashes were scattered with the beautiful lei everyone brought the group
We spent our 5th wedding anniversary in Moloka`i with family and close friends, and also commemorated the 10th anniversary of Noa's mom's passing, since her ashes were scattered there. When going up to the mountain, I told Nanea that we were going to see Grandma Mili. She replied, "I don't WANT to see Grandma Mili!" Upon arriving at the mountain, she was very reluctant to be put down or explore, when all of a sudden she bounced in my arms, pointed, smiled and exclaimed, "I see Grandma Mili!" Now, I don't know if she meant that she wanted to see her, or that she actually saw her. They say children can see sprirts, and it is a very spiritual place. Either way the change in attitude was remarkable.the view
