A new chair for Nanea
Labels: kaboost, shopping, stokke, tripp trapp
We have finally reached the point in second child-dom where the choice had to be made about a (high) chair for Makena. We never had a traditional high chair for Nanea, but instead opted for the Stokke Tripp Trapp. A fantastic chair, but at $200, pretty pricey. We love it, Nanea loves it, so upon discussing a chair for Makena, Noa wanted to buy another one for her. Although in an ideal world where Noa was still employed by the now defunct Aloha Airlines, I would have gone out and bought another one right away, since for the past few days, Makena has been sitting in Nanea's seat (with the baby rail) and loving it. However with no steady job, I remembered the Kaboost, Portable Chair Booster that I had found on one of the mom sites I frequent, and thought I'd try it out. At $40, it seemed a lot more manageable and pretty cool at the same time. I told Noa that if it didn't work with our dining room chair, or Nanea really had a problem with giving up her Tripp Trapp, then we would return it and bite the bullet for another Tripp Trapp. Well, no worry needed, I brought it home, set it up while Nanea napped this afternoon, and she loved it. She loves sitting in her own "big girl chair" and being like Mom and Dad. So, for now, it's a "highly recommended" toddler buy!
