Nanea's 4th Birthday

I am 1 month late in posting, but Nanea's 4th Birthday was on a Sunday so we celebrated with a BBQ at the house. Her stats at her 4 year checkup were 34.5 pounds (50th percentile) and 43.25" tall (between 75th and 90th percentile). She's still tracking to be a tall girl. Dr. Lance thought between 5'8" and 5'9", so shorter than the 5'11" prediction at 2 years old. (Noa will be glad!) In spite of her and Makena fitting into the same pants (18 month), she appears to be ok weight-wise. She's just tall and lean. Someone recently commented on her pants always being short, but it's because she's so darned skinny, no pants that fit her length will fit her waist, and rather than constantly having her yank her pants up, it's easier to have her wear "capris." Lucky we live in a warm place where pants are rarely necessary. While we were in CA for the holidays, she had boots. That covered the gap...

Birthday decor (Maggie did a fabulous job taping balloons to the ceiling of the living/dining room and outside patio, and our fabulous etsy birthday sign (also used for Makena's birthday. I had the foresight to get both kid's names and 1 "HB" banner for many future birthday's uses).

While Noa was cooking and putting up tents (since it was raining), I took Nanea and Ceri to see Disney's The Princess and the Frog. I think I enjoyed it more than them. Such a sucker for a good Disney movie...

breakfast with presents to open in the morning, along with her GIANT princess balloon (1 of 2)

per Nanea's request, a purple and pink "lei" cake from Costco, and I added the princess candle and characters. That girl loves her Disney princesses!

The next day Nanea made a Birthday hat at school and got to wear it all day.
