Nanea's "Princess Dress"

Uncle Liko and Aunty Sonia bravely asked if Nanea would be their flower girl for their beautiful wedding last month.  We of course said yes, but we couldn't promise that she would actually do any flower girl duties.  What can I say, a 2 year old is so unpredictable!  She actually did a phenomenal job (from her proud mommy's point of view!).  We spent weeks psyching her up, showing her her pretty princess dress and princess shoes, and telling her that she would get to wear it to Uncle Liko and Aunty Sonia's big party (to which she always replied, "no, MY big party," well whatever works, right...?).  She walked up the aisle, didn't destroy the gorgeous basket that Aunty "Vonne" created for her, and smiled throughout tons and tons of pictures before and after the ceremony.

Thank you Aunty Sonia and Uncle Liko for sharing your amazing photos with us.  To check out a snippet of their gorgeous, gorgeous wedding, go to:

Sonia is a stunning bride, and they look so happy!  The photographers did an amazing job of capturing the day.

We love you Nanea! Great job and I esp. loved it when you were singing! You are truely our little Princess! Thank you for making our day so special!
Lots of hugs, Aunty Sonia & Uncle Liko

I totally forgot about the singing...not so perfect flower girl behavior after all :)!! SORRY Aunty Sonia and Uncle Liko! Forgot to mention that after her walk/run down the aisle, she came to sit in my lap where she proceeded to hum and "la la la" a tune not so quietly during the ceremony. She got taken away upstairs to the reception site by her Tutu until it was all over and time for pictures.

She is our Nanea!!!

TUTU

Almost forgot, she was ready for all the goodies upstairs in the cool pavilion that Aunty Yvonne had so wonderfully prepared.
Especialy the colorful drinks and the "pirate" behind one of the drink stations. She thought he was great!!

TUTU

I especially loved Nanea's Princess shoes! Papa and Mamama are so proud of her! Nanea did a great job!

Tutu seems to be mixing up Aunty Yvonne and the caterer :).

She was a little princess and just loved her princess shoes! I'll get more pictures to you once I figure out how. Aunty Wai

Nope! Not getting mixed up.
Nanea & I thought the pavillion that Uncle Alex and Aunty Yvonne had created was really neat!!Especially the lounge area which Nanea claimed for her own.
But, when we went "upstairs" from the wedding ceremony site and she wanted something to drink, she saw the "neat" drinks, and the waiter behind the table who, when she saw him, she said "he's a pirate! (he had a bandana around his head.)
She giggled and thought that was really neat!

love,
MOM

It was definitely a magical afternoon. Incredible pictures. And i can't believe Nanea is only 2. She is such a little woman!!
