Welcome to the World Kilinoe Joy!!
Don't freak out, Baby Allen has not arrived. This is my good friend, Tina's (see post below) new baby girl. Born just about when the sun was coming up on Friday. 7 pounds, 8.5 oz. And, she is pretty. And for you naysayers that think you haven't seen a pretty newborn (because they are all wrinkly and blotchy), you have not seen Kilinoe. She is an adorable beauty; nice dark hair, big round eyes. I'll add a picture once I get one. It's so nice to have a girlfriend going through this right before me. I get all the good advice!
As far as I go, I've just gone for my 26 week appointment (last week), where my glucose levels were slightly high so I had to go for the really, really fun 3-hour, 4 blood-draw diabetes screening this week. If anyone looks at my arms, yes, I look like a junkie with all the needle marks. Guess I shouldn't have eaten that Starbucks that morning (but my doctor did say to eat normally...). My belly is definitely rotund (I know, I know...pictures!), and I think I'm going to have to resort to my "big" maternity clothes soon. Baby Allen is dancing up a storm lately. She especially likes "Rock Your Body" by Justin Timberlake. I've noticed a decidedly better response to men's voices (music-wise). She is not her mother's daughter that's for sure (w/my mellow pop-rock tastes). I need to drive in Noa's car more often and see if she digs daddy's rap and dance music.
