It's that time...

to begin working out.

It has been almost 2 months since I stopped breast feeding, and the pounds have begun to creep back. I am one of those (lucky) people who gained about 30 pounds during pregnancy, and then lost 50. I haven't seen this weight in a long, long, LONG time, and want to keep it! So, walking the dog isn't doing it for me any more (hence the creep) and I need to do something about it. Of course, I need to stop eating the mass quantities of food that goes along with pregnancy and nursing, but that's another issue.

So, a brand-spanking-new YMCA has opened literally down the street from my house. I could run there...though those of you that know me know that will never happen...Nanea and I went to check it out on Saturday when they had a "community day" for their grand-opening and we got to tour the place. I was all pumped up to join that day, but wanted to see if Noa wanted to join with me so we could take advantage of the family pass. He isn't as jazzed, mostly because he knows me and knows that I have never been a gym member/go-er. But, I think due to the close-ness to home and the convenience and non-competitive gym atmosphere, I will go. Not to mention the included child-care program, yoga and pilates classes and swimming pool for future swim lessons.

So, to join or not to join, that is the question. Any weigh-ins? If only I had a friend to join with me...accountability is a beautiful thing.

I'd go with you if I were there.
It's always nice to have someone to exercise with. More incentive!!
Nanea will probably enjoy as much as you.

Love ,
Mom

well, I have no idea what's wrong. some can read, some can't. hopefully it fixes itself.

It's back! I can read it all...

Dad

i vote for joining... esp. with the childcare... it will make it much easier. and if it's so close (and depending on the hours... and if noa's home), you can also run there for 30 minutes after she's in bed... i hear ya with the motivation thing... but i think if you want it, you'll do it! :)

me, too! i can read it all!

totally! Then you can also do swim lessons and mommy and me ballet and all the fun kiddie things! :-)
