2 down, 8 to go!

Yesterday's doctors appointment showed (?) that I am currently 2 cm dilated, and 60% effaced. For those of you non-baby people, I need to be 10 cm and 100% to give birth to Baby Allen. So, although this may seem like it will be soon, all it really means is that I'm on my way. My doctor said that she was 2 cm dilated from 36 weeks, and still went past her due date and had to be induced. So, it could be anytime, but more than likely will still be closer to my due date in 2 1/2 weeks. She said in her experience, most of her 1st time moms were right around their due date, so the 24th, here we come! We now know 5 people born on this day, so it seems to be a good one. Although "Gramps" Bernard would beg to differ (he's rooting for his bday on the 13th).

If Baby Allen arrives between the 20th & 29th, we have discovered that she will be an Aquarius (Noa's dad's sign), and also a Rooster, Noa's mom's Chinese horoscope sign. How weird would that be?

Happy New Year!
